Sarangani is a province in the Philippines located in the Soccsksargen region (South-Cotabato-Cotabato-Sultan Kudarat-Sarangani-General Santos City). Its Capital is Alabel. The province is divided into two sections, separated by the Sarangani Bay and General Santos City. General Santos City is known all over the world as Manny Pacquiao’s hometown, and the treasure trove for fresh tuna, salmon, sashimi, and sardines.

These alone excite the avid traveler and make them wonder, what is life like in these two places? What are the good and best places to visit?

For our avid traveller here is the list on what to do in Sarangani and General Santos City. Try these all and I'm sure that you will enjoy.

ATV Adventure

Sarangani has ATV Adventure Tours available at 3DOE Farm, Malandag Trail, Lamlife Trail and even as far as Sanchez Peak.

Let's get mud! (Malandag Trail)

ATV is one fun adventure, riding on a 4x4 vehicle and going through all kinds of terrain. Getting splashed with water and mud in your shirts, shoes and even in your face makes a lot of giggles.

An activity for the whole family, even the kids will enjoy it.

This is my first time, and I did it!

You can enjoy ATV as low as P600 per head or take the Malandag trail for 1.5 hours for only P1,500. per person.

Water Tubing Adventure

The clean water of Pangi River is located in New La Union, Maitum, Sarangani Province Philippines.

Our first round. Yes! there are three rounds.

Water tubing has a 2.1Km and a 1.6Km distance from starting point to end point. So if you really want to enjoy this adventure go for 2.1Km, it will cost Php350. However, if you are budget conscious go for 1.6Km for only Php200 pesos. 1.6Km is recommended for kids too.

Beach Hoping

Living here in Mindanao for almost a year makes us explore some of the beautiful beaches.There are more beautiful beaches here in Sarangani and I will share what we have already experienced.

Lemlunay Beach Resort

Resort is located in Maasim at the southwest corner of Sarangani Bay in the Province of Sarangani. Lemlunay Resort is in one of the most beautiful water locations. View the Ocean and Sarangani Bay all within eye shot. Sarangani Bay’s premier coral reef is just in front of Lemlunay resort. Lemlunay provides many water opportunities for their guests.
Trial dives at Php1500 per person, includes complete gear and dive master.
For certified divers, They charge Php800 for one or two divers and P600 each for 3 licensed divers. This includes tank, weights, boat and guide.
Night dive for licensed diver is Php950.
Diving Gear rental is Php550 per day.

Pool fee is Php100 per person. This fee is waived for checked in guests. You must however wear proper swimming attire:

They do allow rash guards and board shorts for both men and women also.

Lemlunay offers a complete Restaurant and Bar.

Rosal Beach Resort in Glan, Sarangani Province

If you happen to visit Sarangani Province for a vacation or summer escapades, Rosal Beach Resort in Gumasa, Glan Sarangani should be included in your top list. This beach resort is one of the best white sand beaches scattered all over the province. It is situated between White Haven and Coco Beach Resort.

Compared to other beach resorts in the Philippines, the accommodation in Rosal is much more affordable. It offers rooms with a functioning bathroom and good air conditioning. There are also open air cottages, space for tents and children’s playground.

Hacienda Don Juan

The Ancestral House was built in the 1930’s; it is the treasure of Hacienda Don Juan.

We stayed in the Cabana, a modern octagonal design with it’s unique style in the heart of HDJ.

The Cabana is paneled with a tinted glass all around. One will enjoy the panoramic view of the blue ocean, the old historic ancestral house, the Elongated paseo and the greeneries of the hacienda. This beautiful cabana is complete with air-con, hot showers and a soothing bathtub. It sleeps 5 people to a max of 7. It is a place where everyone can find luxury and comfort under the sun. For Php5,000/overnight, you can stay here in the Cabana.
